Much of the fall
2004 and winter
2005 seasons were spent rebuilding after Hurricane Ivan. We were
able to spend a little time on the water, however,
and have a few photos to prove it. We generally catch the largest
redfish of the year in winter, along with false albacore, pompano,
and bluefish in the shore break. Click

a thirty minute fight on a Shimano Stradic 2500 with 12 pound
of Cove, OR and a nice fly-caught 20 # Pensacola Pass redfish.

of Missoula, MT bends a rod on a January redfish.
landed this slot-sized redfish while poling shallow flats in
the Gulf of Mexico. On sunny days our winter Gulf waters are
as clear as the Bahamas.
