Much of the fall 2004 and winter 2005 seasons were spent rebuilding after Hurricane Ivan. We were able to spend a little time on the water, however, and have a few photos to prove it. We generally catch the largest redfish of the year in winter, along with false albacore, pompano, and bluefish in the shore break. Click on any of the small images below to see the full size photos. Terry Repp landed this nice redfish with moral support from his wife Laura.
Terry Repp of Crestwood, MO caught this 39 inch, 23 pound redfish after a thirty minute fight on a Shimano Stradic 2500 with 12 pound test line.

David Butler landed this slot-sized redfish while poling shallow flats in the Gulf of Mexico. On sunny days our winter Gulf waters are as clear as the Bahamas.
